The 4th annual PetSmart PetWalk. A great day is ready to be had by all at this fun event put on by PetSmart at Tempe Town Lake. This
year there seems to be even more events which I will list below. Every year the Airedale Rescue forms a team to raise funds for our
needy friends.  You may not have an Airedale, but we hope that you will join us regardless and make a new friend in one of our furry
faced comics.  It is also a great opportunity for social interaction with your fur-kid(s).

The amazing thing about PetWalk is that the money you pay to register goes directly back to the rescue after the walk. If you give more great, but just the basic registration is AWESOME!!! The key though is that you need to make sure you register with the team at the SWAT PetWalk Page.  Even if you can’t make it you can register as a virtual walker.  Try this link to join us
http://pschar.convio.net/site/TR/Walk/General?team_id=4480&pg=team&fr_id=1160.
If the link doesn't work for you try:PetSmart PetWalk and look up our team. You can put in Airedale and it will pull up.  We had a great time last year. The day started out very rainy and we were all questioning if people would show up, but just before the walk the clouds moved out the sun took over and it was beautiful. We had friends from Tucson and even Sierra Vista.

This year the activities include many competitions we could be part of. The event activity plan is as follows:

Registration/Activities Begin at 9 a.m.
5K Walk Begins at 10 a.m.
1-Mile Walk Begins at 10:15 a.m.
Adoption Event Begins at 10:30 a.m.
Stay tuned for more details about event-day activities.

Support on the Route

As you and your pet enjoy your walk, you’ll find stops along the way providing water, and portable toilets. If, for any reason, you are along the route and unable to make it to the finish, please move to the side of the walkway and signal one of the support vehicles for a pick-up, or tell one of the volunteers at a route Aid Station.
